Searching
for Books and Other Items
When searching
for books, locate the SEARCH function on the top are of the
web page. Key in the title or author of the book or the description
of the merchandise that you are looking for. Click the SEARCH
button. You will be given a complete listing of the item/book
that are available in all sections of the website. If the
item/book is not found, the ADVANCE search function will be
presented for a more specific search.
Use the
ADVANCE search function to narrow down your search. The ADVANCE
option will present a listing of the categories from a pull-down
menu. Click on the category that you want to search. You also
have to key in a keyword and specify which field it may be
located - Title, Author and ISBN. A list of search results
based on the category and field will be displayed. You can
also have the option to disable loading of images for faster
results.
Click
on the MAIL TO INQUIRY to e-mail us if the item/book is not
currently on our website inventory.
Making
/ Changing Orders
You have
to register with us in order to shop in goodwillbookstore.com.
However, you will be prompted to do so at the end of your
shopping if you have not registered.
From the
search results, choose the desired book/title and enter the
quantity that you want to order. These will immediately be
included in the shopping cart displayed on the right side
of the page. Click on the UPDATE button if you want to delete
a selection or add/subtract the quantity that you ordered.
When you
are done with the ordering process, click the CHECKOUT button.
If you are a new user, you will be prompted to register and
create My Goodwill.
You will
receive an e-mail confirming the availability of stocks, other
details (i.e. delivery charges, address verification, etc.)
and instructions regarding your order within 24 hours. You
need to validate the order by replying back. Your order will
be sent to you as soon as we receive the payment.
Managing
Your Account
If you are a
return customer, you only need to login your username and
password when you checkout your items. You will receive an
e-mail confirming the availability of the stocks you ordered
for. Upon your confirmation, the merchandise will be sent
to your door.
As an individual
customer, when you enter/ create your
MyGoodwill
account, you will be able to view
or see the main page containing information on your Accounts
History. This includes entering information for your personal
profile, for shipping and billing purposes.
If you are a corporate
client, simply register under the
Corporate
page
and follow the same instructions mentioned above. You can
always update your accounts history or edit the previous information
you have submitted to us by clicking on the Update your
profile button at the bottom of the page.
As a return customer,
all your transactions shall be saved to your Accounts History
for your future reference.
Indent
Order
It is
possible that the book you need is not available in our inventory.
You can make an Indent Order. This means that Goodwill Bookstore
can order the book from the publisher on your behalf. All
you have to do is give the book title and author plus the
ISBN and publisher if these data are available. You also need
to indicate mode of delivery - airfreight or ordinary postal
mail.
After
receipt of your indent order information, we will e-mail the
tentative costs including delivery charges. A 20% down payment
is needed in order for us to fulfill the order. Final costing
will be made upon our receipt of the book/s and the actual
costs.
Payment
Options and Delivery
Goods
will be delivered through courier for outside Metro-Manila
and by our delivery service within Metro-Manila. We guarantee
a 48-hour delivery within Metro-Manila.If you are located
elsewhere delivery will depend on courier's schedule of serviceable
areas. We will inform you through e-mail on delivery time.
For international orders, details will be sent through e-mail.
Our daily
cut-off time is 4:00pm local time (Mondays to Fridays). Orders
received after this time will be processed on the next working
day. Saturday, Sunday and Holiday orders will also be processed
on the next working day.
There
are two (2) modes for you to get your order :
1. Pickup
at any Goodwill Branch
2. Delivery
Payment
of pickup mode maybe in CASH or CREDIT CARD. Goodwill Bookstore
accepts all major credit cards.
For delivery
mode, you can pay through the following :
1. Postal
Money Order
You can
visit your local post office and they will give you instructions
on how to go about the money order procedure. Send your money

Make the
money order payable to GOODWILL BOOKSTORE.
Cost of
the money order and mail charges shall be for the account
of the customer.
Immediately
inform us through e-mail that you have already sent payment
so that the book/s will be put in reserve for you.
2. Payment
through Bank
Payments
can be deposited to Goodwill Bookstore's account. We will
e-mail you instructions for this option. Bank charges will
be for the account of the customer.
3. Cash
On Delivery
For Metro-Manila
transactions, we can deliver the item/book and collect the
payment. You have to give detailed directions where the delivery
made. We will also require an alternate person to look for
and the time that the delivery will be made.
