D. graduated from the Technological University of the Philippines in Manila (TUP-Manila) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Education major in Home Economics, cum laude, in 1989. She also earned from the same university her Master of Arts in Industrial Education, major in Administration and Supervision (2003); and Doctor of Education, major in Industrial Education Management (2007).
